The Intention Church
A (mostly) digital gathering of believers committed to following the narrow way of Jesus through humility, justice seeking, peacemaking, and embodying love.
About the community
Meet The Intention Church
The Intention Church is a gathering of believers who, though scattered physically, are united in commitment. The two traditions that have most shaped the church are the prophetic tradition of the historic Black church and the Anabaptist tradition: its roots in the Black church leave it committed to truth telling, and the Anabaptist tradition leads it to be peacemakers. The Intention Church welcomes everyone into full participation at all levels, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation.
In a world in which people work jobs online, meet spouses online, and find belonging online, The Intention Church helps people follow Jesus online, gathering people from across the globe for worship, prayer, and honest dialogue.
Pastor Trey Ferguson is the author of Theologizin’ Bigger.

Walking with Central District Conference
The Intention Church is one of the emerging communities of faith walking alongside Central District Conference of Mennonite Church USA, a regional family of Anabaptist congregations committed to active peacemaking, justice, and inclusion, all in the way of Jesus.
